One of the best things that I like about the travelling, is to get a chance to taste new dishes, new flavors and totally new cuisines.
After three weeks in Croatia, I have finally managed to calm myself down and not to eat that much. I like food, maybe sometimes even little bit too much. But seriously, how can you just not love it?!
Croatian cuisine is very different from Finland. Okey, maybe not that different but at least more meat in it.
There are some traditional meals, well of course! For example, I will like to present Cevapi. It is very common in the Balkan area and is considered to be national dish in Bosnia-Hertzegovina and Serbia, but very popular here too. Basically it is meat sticks, usually served with bread and onion. Also potatoes and sour cabbage are very good side dishes. NAM!
Food can also be different in each region, like seacoast or inland. You can also find some same characteristics from Austria, Bosnia or Italia from the food. I think it is nice mixture of tastes, there is definitely something for everyone. I will let the pictures do the talking.
